With regret I have no choice but to postpone my current Charity Walk for a later date, hopefully early May as the conditions are absolutely atrocious and I am not going to risk any injuries.
The attached will give you an idea of what I had to deal with in this walk.
It was tough and I was prepared to deal with that but now I have reached are "Chalky ground" area. That under normal circumstances wouldn't be too much of an issue but when wet its absolutely deadly. Extremely slippery and it took me just under 2 hours to complete the last 2 miles.
As you can see from the photos, it was a very hilly part and I have been told the further North I go the hillier it will get but my biggest concern is the wet chalky ground
It is not a coincidence that I have not seen any other walkers in the last 2 days, unfortunately I made the mistake of choosing the wrong time.
I will definitely not let anyone down, lots of people have donated a lot of money (£2,400 so far) and I will restart the walk hopefully early May, fingers crossed we get better weather leading to that period so that ground dries up.
Apologies everyone but this is just temporary, "I'll be back"
